Mahir graduated in 2016 and spent his training year in practice in Plymouth before moving on to work in the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. He has since worked in private practice, where he is meticulous in providing the best care for his patients.
Mahir enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular interest in restorative dentistry, where he wishes to pursue postgraduate or specialist training. He has won prizes for excellence in clinical case presentations, audit projects and as an investigator in research. Mahir also enjoys teaching and is a clinical supervisor for dental students at Peninsula Dental School, which ensures he stays up to date with the gold standard of care which he strives to provide to his patients. He has completed a master’s degree in clinical education.
Outside of dentistry, Mahir has a keen interest in sport, mainly football (big Liverpool fan!), boxing and mixed martial arts. He also enjoys travelling and reading.
